  • Max Range: 1,500 yards / 1372 m
  • Waterproof

  • PinSeeker Technology

The Bushnell PinSeeker 1500 Tournament Edition is the most effective and easy to use laser rangefinder currently available. The PinSeeker technology allows you to effortlessly lock on to the flagstick or any other object on the golf course or driving range. It is one of the larger and heavier laser rangefinders on the market but well worth it for its ease of use. It has a very strong laser allowing it to outperform other models that have trouble ranging to small, non-reflective or very distant objects. The Tournament Edition is legal for tournament and handicap play.

Bottom line: If you want the most powerful and effortless laser rangefinder but don't mind the extra size and weight, I definately recommend the PinSeeker 1500. If you would like a laser rangefinder that is more compact and lightweight but still effective, I recommend going with the Leupold GX-II.

Specs

  • Price: $399
  • Dimensions: 4" x 2.75" x 1.5" / 102 x 70 x 38 mm
  • Weight: 6.8 oz / 193 g

The Leupold GX-II is a compact and lightweight. Like the Bushnell PinSeeker 1500, the GX-II comes with PinHunter technology which is quite effective but not as effortless as the PinSeeker 1500. The GX-II also comes with True Golf Range which adjusts distances based on the slope as well as temperature. One thing to keep in mind is that because of this feature it is not legal for tournament play. The GX-II also comes with Club Selector which recommends club selections based on striking distances that you provide.

Bottom line: The GX-II is feature packed as well as lightweight and compact but is not as effortless and effective as the PinSeeker 1500. I recommend the PinSeeker 1500 if you want the most effective and effortless laser rangefinder available and don't mind the added size and weight. On the other hand if you are golfer that likes to walk the course, and want a compact and lightweight rangefinder then I recommend the GX-II.
