The Xbox 360 Pro console is a console made for gamers. Contrary to what most believe the Xbox has superior graphics power. The Xbox has better game selection and they are better game experiences and graphics. Even the a Xbox Live Gold membership costs about $50 for a year it is well worth it because the Xbox has the largest online console community and the best online support. Some areas that the PS3 are better in are the PS3 comes with Bluray and built-in WiFi (Xbox has a proprietary adpater sold separately). Bottom line: If you are a gamer than the Xbox 360 Pro console is a no brainer. It is cheaper, has better performance, graphics, and online support than the PS3. The PlayStation 3 is the ultimate multimedia center. It plays Bluray DVDs and DivX (the Xbox does too) that you can put on the hard drive. The PS3 offers 1080p high definintion compared to the Xbox which only offers 1080i. The online community is not as large as the Xbox and the support is not as good but it is also free. The PlayStation 3 also comes with built-in WiFi compared to the Xbox which requires an adapter (about $80 extra) and comes with 20 GB more hard drive space. Checkout the different PS3 bundle deals to get some extra games and accessories at bargain prices. Bottom line: If you are more of a movie buff and a gamer second I think the PS3 is for you. The Nintendo Wii is an affortable family console. The Wii does not have stunning graphics like the Xbox 360 and PS3 but offers family fun with it's motion sensored Wii Remote. The Wii does not play DVD movies or offer a hard drive. The Wii focuses more on games that require physical movement such as tennis, baseball, golf, bowling and boxing which are included with Wii Sports. The Wii also offers games which requires physical movement like the Wii Fit and Wii Music. The Wii does offer exclusive games that you can only play on the Wii such as Mario Kart Wii and Mario Party 8. Bottom line: The Wii is not a console with excellent graphics or performance, game selection, online games or a multimedia center but it offers hours of family fun while getting a workout.
